The highest tier of 4090.
I was initially skipping but thought why not, All my bills are paid and I fancy a new toy.
Very impressed with it, Boosts to 2880 and the overclock I can get it to 3050 stable on the core and an extra 1000 on the memory, Haven't pushed it any further yet though.

Booting up Crysis 3, The original and not the remastered as I'm not paying 30 quid for a sloppy RT implementation, I was a little shocked to see the performance at 4K max. I remember booting this up when it first came out and getting like 30FPS at 4K with the latest GPU, GTX 780 Ti.
This was just with a quick and dirty overclock but that frame rate was consistent, Sick and I love it

Is there much difference between 4090 brands?
I'm thinking of getting either the PNY XLR8 or the Zotac Trinity, are either of these known to be good/bad?

My Zotac Airo 4090 died within 5 weeks, that’s my first card death in about 10 years. To be honest my MSFS sim was crashing a lot even from the beginning so I suspect it was faulty out the gate. The MSI Suprim Liquid X I replaced it with has not crashed the sim at all since I got it. PSA you can get the Liquid X much cheaper elsewhere. I got it for £1999 just before it went up to £2049
It sits at 2940Ghz all day long in MSFS with everything maxed and rarely goes over 56c and that is with the power limited to 75%

5000D, really? I've been looking at that case and thought it looked bigger. I realise there's a radiator in the front, but I thought there'd be more room even with a 4090. Think I'll look at the 7000D then.

Well there's also a good 2 and a half inch gap at the IO end of the card too from the vertical mount frame thingy and around an inch and a quarter at the front of the case between it and the radiator.
If I had the rad top mounted and no vertical mount there would be a lot more open space.
