Agree with this. For this gen it really seems like water cooling is not necessary. Let's be honest, it actually is never necessary. I am waiting on TUF block for the 4090. Once you start down the rabbit hole of water cooling it is really hard to stop! Main benefits this time: get rid of the massive cooler, as the gpu doesn't even fit in my case with stock cooler on, so much smaller size, looks nice and is quieter (if you don't have horrible coil whine.)After having a 3080 Ti FE where the VRAM was running hot, even after thermal pads replaced, I was determined to watercool the 4090 FE. As it is stock, my temps are very low, VRAM runs a lot cooler too. So I just don't see any real benefit to watercool the 4090, as the cooler does a fantastic job at running cool & quiet.
That is the go-to card this gen, as long as it doesn't whine! Congrats
I have been waiting for a FE as none of the non reference ones will fit in my case.@Kaapstad Where's yours ? Guessing you're waiting on FE stock to come in maybe ?

The GameRock is virtually the same size as the FE, just a smidgen larger. It's the smallest (or one of) the AIB 4090s.
