I run mine on similar settings to the 950mv undervolt in the undervolting thread. Initially the fan spins up quite high but will settle to around 2400rpm which I find acceptable and still faster than the out of the box settings. 1050mv gives me some extra performance but the fan will be around 2800-2900 which is pretty rowdy.
Maybe it was crossfire and he wanted to be accurateHe was so happy he posted it twice!

The only dislike I have for my Vega is the noise, When gaming the cards not only loud but fan speed goes up and down like a bloomin yoyo.
It's handling my 3440x1440 monitor nicely.
I got AC Origins a couple of days ago so that'll give it a good work out this weekend.
I should have waited myself but It's already been three months since Vega released. Have you had a reference card (blower) before? If yes you know how loud it's gonna be, but if like me you haven't owned a reference card before prepare to be amazedThe noise from reference cards is the one thing bothering me. I could wait a couple of weeks if custom cards were out (and quieter) but looks like they could be another 4 weeks. Hm.
Ah, fair enough. Mines in a bigger case so I don't have that problem. I found the underclocking and overvolting thread handy for getting me in the ballpark but I had to make a few minor changes to get proper stability.
I built this rig, 1600x & V64 in an M-ATX case, In comparison my last build was a 4790k & a Fury Tri-x in a mid tower case that had excellent air flow, even at load it didn't spin up much. I added a 92mm Noctua Redux fan yesterday which is blowing air directly on to the cards fan so hopefully it'll help or at least calm it down a bit. I don't seem to be able to underclock and overclock it much so I need to play around with it a bit more and find it's sweet spot..

PAH!
Call that airflow???
This is airflow!!!
*AHEM* Just to be clear this is a joke, I put the cards from three workstations into one machine for a laugh, do not try running them like this! XD

Was it...?
One for The Roll of Honour.
Kinda offensive place to have the PC situated is it not!?This might sound crazy but I have an AC V64 since release and I removed the stock cooler for an AIO mod. I only just put the reference cooler back on today because the AIO was just not working for me. The AIO mod does keep the card far cooler but in my PC case the only way to mount the radiator was to exhaust heat out the top. This annoyed me no end because anything over 45c meant I was getting uncomfortable heat blasting directly beside my legs and up onto my face as the PC is under my desk.
To be honest the reference cooler with undervolting is very, very acceptable. 900mV on P6, P7 and Memory Voltage gives me an average of around 165W power consumption (game dependent) and the fans are around 2200RPM. It's actually running quieter than I had to run the AIO fans to keep it under the 45c sweet spot.
At these settings I am getting about 1435 core clock and 1020 HBM. This might not sound like much but it is actually slightly faster than stock but consumes 50W-70W less.

I am very particular about noise and can vouch that with proper tweaks RX Vega 64 will run very well with acceptable noise levels. In reference to Vega, I have had people who swear they are very particular about noise levels, they then claim 2700 RPM on V64 is acceptable. For me anything over 2300 is very noticeable.
With some creative thinking, it's possible to remove the standard cooler without disturbing the sticker over the screw. Take the three screws out from the x shaped bracket and then use the bracket almost like a spanner to undo the screw under the sticker.Aah, so it turns out PowerColor's warranty voids if you open up, ergo no watercooling.

Well, isn't the purpose of today's PCs to be payment terminal for some web shop and run use limiting techs...I've seen elsewhere that the DRM on this is rather CPU-heavy; I wonder if you'll see the same problems.
Not even TIE Fighter? Or did you miss that good old time?I don't know why, I'm just not very keen on Star Wars games. :/

Instead of being platform for running applications for user.
