The RX Vega 64 Owners Thread

Hi guys.

The V64 Nitro+ waterblock arrived today. And yes is designed for the Nitro in case there are some non believers here :P

Plugged the fittings for the Predator 360 on it (from the GTX1080 block I had) and going to order EK fluid to top up the Predator before put it on. I will let you know how it will perform later in the week.

If you @LtMatt or anyone else wants to give me a list of things to look at (like VRM temps, OC headroom, voltage etc) and compare it between aircooled & watercooled version please let me know :)
I might even try to make my first youtube video if you believe that will be worthy, comparing the behaviour of the card before and after watercooling.

This might have been mentioned, but it's a 260 page thread and I really don't wanna trawl through it all..

I got a Vega64 on release (at the nice release price that OCUK had, bwahaha) and it's now on custom water... back then the "Overclock" I could achieve was pathetically minimal.. I was wondering if anyone's compared their OC on initial drivers compared to current drivers - is there any difference? I'd test it myself but a) I can't remember what OC I actually got stable (1790mhz rings a bell but who knows) back then, and b) I'm over 2000 miles away in Cyprus until early August :p

I only had the Nitro+ two weeks and is on air. I can tell you between 18.6 and 18.7 only.
With 18.6 I could overclock to 1742. With 18.7 I can overclock only to 1721. However the performance at 1721 is higher by 5% on benchmarks than the 1742 overclock.

Imho the easiest option is to use the overclock slider to find your the limits of your GPU at stock voltages.

Got a good deal on a free sync monitor 32" 1440 strix my current gpu is a 980ti. At the minute only really playing rust. Should i get a vega 64 now or will the 980ti be enough without free sync.
Have the money to buy but only like buying stuff when its a deal.
Also is there much noticeable difference between a vega 56 and 64 .

Me 64s handling 3440x1440 with ease, just been flying about on GTA V, **** ME! Its incredible!, i didn't have to drop any settings either, it looks amazeballs!!!! :D
And GTA V engine is not favourable towards Radeon GPUs at all in benchmarks. :)

In other news, in terms of looks for a GPU, nothing beats the Vega Frontier Liquid Edition. If you thought the reference RX Vega Liquid was sexy, the Frontier Edition is a class above looking at both side by side.

@Kaapstad can you TROH me up please?

(How good is that GPU clearance though? :D :p )

Cheers,

Su

That is tight! Should be fine, just make sure that bottom fan is not going too fast or it might interfere with the nearest GPU fan.

Welcome and on TROH.:)

To get on the Roll of Honour all you have to do is post a pic with your user name on it of your Vega 64.

What if we didn't think the reference RX Vega Liquid was sexy? :p
