After 2-days benching I believe that I have found the sweatspot for my card.

My System
*Ryzen 3600 @ 4.2GHz 1.3v (all-core)
*MSI B450M Mortar
*16GB TridentX 386MHz @ 3600MHz C14
*Corsair HX850W PSU
*MSI 5700 XT Gaming X

zLsUsII.jpg

At 2100/1800 with +20 Power Limit my card runs 3% faster and 7% more-efficiently than stock clocks. This will remain my 24/7 clocks.

I was going to add benches @ 1900Mem, but after much-testing could not get the card 100% stable in-combination with highest GPU clocks. 1875 seems to be the limit of my cards VRAM @ 2150MHz GPU.

The MSI Gaming X is a very-decent card. Despite having a smallish MATX case with just one intake and exhaust fan, the card remains cool and boost clocks do not throttle. The card
It makes a nice upgrade to my trusty, long-serving 290X - which after 6-years stll played every game comfortably @ 1080P, and many @ 1440P. If this performs as well as the 290X for 5-6 years I will be very happy.

Sorry for the delayed reply. Got busy building the loop. Stupid question: how do you PM in this forum or contact other members? I can't seem to be able to start a new conversation with you!

Yeah. I mean looking back of you plan ahead it's not too bad but if you include the customs fee it's 10-15 difference from ek or alphacool blocks you can get from ocuk. So rather just buy from UK retailers tbh unless you can find it really cheap.

@Kaapstad for the owners thread, again, Lol. :D

Sapphire Nitro + Special Edition 5700 XT.

Really good looking graphics card.

It's a little bit louder than the Red Dragon. There was a 25-30c difference between the GPU and Junction temperatures. I took the GPU apart and the thermal paste was pretty dry.

Cleaned it up and used Liquid Metal on the GPU and the heatsink and it's lowered the junction temperature 5-10c and now the temp difference between GPU and Junction is 15c exactly. Happy with that!

That's interesting, there is a 30c difference between edge and junction temp with mine too....

Got one of those stupid warranty stickers on the cooler screws.....
Mine had two, but I’m not sure how valid they are. It didn’t stop me taking them off and changing paste. It’s your product and you should be able to maintain it to ensure longevity. Sure, if you damage it your loss, but changing paste on these is easy. I would recommend it to fix your temp difference.

Remove the shroud and strap a couple Noctua 120mm fans to it....

Tho TBH i'm not that bothered, the way i have it setup now it boost <2Ghz at 170 Watts with low 70's . high 90's and capped the fans at 58% which is not too loud.

Furry muff bug, if you are happy. Me, I like to tinker. :D

Me too, but i have a distinct feeling i'm going to need that RMA eventually, the shroud has a rattle, which i fixed, however while running with the fans spun up the whole card vibrates quite hard, that's unbalanced fans, they will ware the bearings out pretty quickly, if not that those vibrations could damage the solder or even GPU over time.

Have you asked OcuK if it’s okay to change paste?
