It is as bad as Crossfire nowadays man, went from 1080 SLi to a single Ti and it was awesome in comparison. Ti + Gsync is the Holy Grail for sure, perfect combo :cool:

Basically upgrading from two fury x’s running at 4K.

I see that the 1080ti’s can handle a lot of games at that res at med to high settings..

If you get a good clocking Ti or one under water 4k60 is reasonable in nearly everything I have tried with a Ti at 2.1 core 6Ghz RAM with the odd dip, some stuff like BF1 with a 150 res scale needs SLI to keep over 60, SLI is hit an miss, I thought crossfire was better for scaling in my old games ( I had 3x290s ) but it is fair to say that GPUs were not as powerful as 1080Ti so might be why they scaled better, one Ti is similar or better than 2x290s and my scaling could be held back by my Ryzen perhaps? Doubt it looking at where my results place me on the benchmark threads here.

Really you want the 1080Ti under water as in a big gaming session its clocks will drop to ~1.5Ghz. where as water keeps it at 2+Ghz also try and find a higher TDP one, mine throttles not due to heat or voltage now its on water but due TDP.

Have you tried to flash bios,to get extra 30W of power? Which model have you got?

Not yet, I want to.

I have two different cards, 1 Nvidia FE and 1 Evga Gaming, the Nvidia one was the best on air, doing 2.1/6Ghz stock volts, once on water the EVGA seems to have come into its own, I guess it might have a higher TDP as it requires more volts match the clocks of the FE, but hits the power limit 90% less than the others, so I need to look into BIOS mods.

The EVGA one seems to run 6 DegC cooler, so might just be a better fit on the heat sink, I will refit the FE cooler at some point to test, as the Evga card takes its water from same loop and after the FE one.

I've got a pair of zotac fe. Both flashed with asusstrixxoc bios. No power limit. Both under water and temp never above 45deg even after continual bench runs at 1.2v.

The best results I get is 2088/12000 mhz.
In some scenario card is power limited.

XOC BIOS is pretty good in that it gets rid of any power throttling. My card isn't the greatest overclocker though and seems to take 1.2v for 2100MHz (https://www.3dmark.com/fs/14010544)

It will run 2050 at stock volts and I'm happy enough with that.

I flashed card with xoc bios but my card didn't work properly.It didn't output picture at all trough DP (both outputs).
Flash was successful.I had cable connected trough gtx 1070 second card in the system,and this way card worked in games.
I backed up my bios with gpu-z but it seems it's corrupted,cos nvflash can't read it.
I flashed it back with bios from techpowerup zotac fe 86.02.39.00.01 and it works now.
Doug2507 which bios have you got backed up? I'm looking for 86.02.39.00.2E not on the website, unfortunately.

Had a quick play and wow it is a step up from a normal 1080. On Destiny 2 it is quite a bit smoother with higher detail settings too.

Plus it isn’t much louder than the normal 1080

It packs a serious grunt too. I run Destiny 2 on high preset at 4K60 and I can still put the resolution scaling to 120% without framedrops. I know some people like to run on highest preset but I can't tell the difference and the smoothness from the higher resolution scaling is gorgeous.

Well. Having a few issues with this card. Keeps crashing on CSGO. Graphics glitches etc. BSOD TDR errors (or something like that).
Only appears to be on CSGO and the only other game I play is Titanfall 2 and it's been fine.
The last time it crashed I restarted and it's now saying I have to re-install CSGO!!

Luckily I've still got my two Titan X's if I decided to RMA it.

I really don't want to but I might have to try a fresh install of Win10
