Anyone else looking to upgrade when the new gen cards drop? Ideally I'd like a 50%+ increase in performance with useable ray tracing for Cyberpunk 2077. I'm expecting after selling my 5700XT I'll still have to find a sizeable chunk of change. At most I might justify £500 on top of whatever I sell for but I don't think that will be sufficient.

Think I will wait to see if a 2nd wave appears. Especially that I dont want to play Space Invaders like the 2xxx series encountered. Let the early adopters find out the problems first and see what AMD has to offer.

At a place now I can wait a year or two.

Not a bad idea, especially regarding refreshed cards. If forgotten about the space invaders. Also gives time for drivers to settle...

OCCT is worst case scenario mate, it's all about stability with OCCT, it generates the most heat etc so, I wouldn't worry about it, I only use for stability purposes and temps. BTW, not sure what you mean, 1850/999, do you mean 1850 on the core? What was your ram clocked at? Also, what was your voltage? 1,000mv? That's very low...

When I was none water cooled, my 5700XT hit around 80C on core and 100-103c on the junction hot spots... so, that was running 2036 core/1900 mem

Yeah, I've just watercooled my 5700cxt the first time, so in no rush, but if I see a significant and by significant I'm like you 50% improvement in raw performance i.e. a game that runs 100fps now runs at 150fps in silly terms, then I'll consider it. If this turns out to be a disappointment and big ole' navi turns out to be an iteration rather than a level jumper...

My worry is, I can't see the new Radeon outperforming the 2080TI... and then there's the price which has been discussed to death... the 5700XT's are a fantastic VFM purchase being in the £300's... if Big Navi turns out to be more than £599, then no way will I be buying so, hence because I think it will because it cane due to nVidia and their ridiculous pricing at the minute, I'll end up sticking with my 5700XT for longer than I first thought, which tbh is fine by me lol

Yes mate. I was reading about someonecon reddit who did this. Something like a 10% down clock and reduced voltage for something like 25% heat and power consumption.

Currently got it at 1901 on core now and 975 on voltage 15mins occt stable. Temps about 70 on core and 85 on junction when playing metro exodus. I've left memory at stock for now and fan speed maxes out about 2400rpm

Even at reduced clock this thing flys at 1080p so I'm happy.

That;s one low voltage so yeah, if happier with the temps as 5700XT do run mental temps tbh... so those temps look great to me mate!

I should have a part with this myself. I've just been running my Red Devil it if the box, might be even cooler and quieter if I had a tinker :cool:

Runs nicely at 1440p. If it was close to 2080Ti speeds I wouldn't even think about swapping it. Only is there's some playable ray tracing available will I think about a change.

Then again, no surprise there it's the worst release of any game I've ever witnessed!

Have you capped the FPS in the menus? Don't forget it's monitoring the FPS in the game as a whole so if you're sitting in the menu/lobby with the FPS capped to 30 for 5 minutes at a time setting up a class, waiting for mates or waiting for it to find a game it all counts towards your average FPS in Adrenalin.

Hi Guys, need to know what your memory temps are like today in this mental weather.

So, I'm folding 24/7 on a 5700XT and in these mental temps of 32C ambient in my office I'm running water cooling at 35C... but looking at the card in CPUZ, I'm running memory temps of 95C which I'm not sure is good or bad tbh... however, got me thinking am I making proper contact with the memory chips... but before I even look at that (and I think I am btw), I wanted to know if you guys slam your GPU's now, what temps you running today in this heat on full maximum. The below is the hottest Ive seen since I built this rig by some way:

Core = 83C
Hot Spot = 94C,
Memory Temp = 95C,
GPU VRM Temp = 87C
