Yeah in this heat etc pushing the GPU 100% for hours on end I think they are, it was more the memory one that had me a little worried incase that should be a lot lower, you similar in your mem temps mate?

Hey guys, new monitor was the first stage of my upgrade and thats now done, going onto a complete new pc build now though.

The RX5700 XT is the one on my radar but I did notice a fair bit of price difference between cards. I won't be particularly interested if extreme overclocking etc so whats the main difference between cards that warrant such diverse prices?

Would buying one at the cheaper to mid end be a disadvantage?

I own this one. Its currently the cheapest and was the cheapest (£338) when I purchased it early January. I have good air flow 4x bequiet silent wings 3 140mm pwm high speed with a phanteks p600 case, 3x front in and 1x exhaust out. For me at stock it's great. I did originally undervolt slight downclock and 80 or so mhz gpu ram overclock, however the ram chips get very hot so overclocking the card just makes it proper toasty, if I could go back and get another one I'd probably go for the sapphire nitro plus second edition, for overclocking purposes, remember some have issues with drivers. Me included, but some work well so it's unfortunately trial and error, but I see the price is almost 50 quid more than January, not sure if its worth it being new cards out end of year and all that jazz.

£338 was a bargain but at the price now I suppose an extra 20 or 30 quid for a better one wouldn't make much difference.
If new cards are coming though the old ones will reduce again so thanks and I will wait and see.
I can get other parts to the build first as the RX580 can keep me going until then.

any chance you will do Storage Drives ?

id like to see how they compare, to get an idea on what my PC is doing, but im no good at doing these threads at all

Only almost 6 months late here is my 5700XT got this bad boy for £338 from here 6th of Jan, good buy IMO.

Anyone keeping their 5700XT for Cyberpunk 2077? Any thoughts on how it will perform? My only reservation is how much difference will ray tracing make.

RT is still early adopter territory and will still be for the next gen imo.

Keep your 5700XT (it will work fine with a 5700XT), enjoy the game and be happy. If you value your wallet.
