New Member of the club. Out with the old and in with the new.

Above: Sapphire Pulse Vega 56 (old).
Below: Powercolor Red Devil 5700XT (new).



Had a few teething problems initially (black screen crashes), which was sorted by either a fresh install of windows 10, clearing the motherboard CMOS by removing the battery, or running it with 2x PCI-e cables. Not sure which!

Running great now though. It's very quiet which I'm impressed by.

Where did you get the reference card from? Rare as hens teeth these days.

Slightly off topic Matt but I have noticed recently how much AMD CPUs have improved and for brute performance really thrash their intel counterparts, it is not even close.

Well done AMD, I am looking forward to their 4XXX series CPUs.

Yep, think it might be time for you to make the switch Kaap. I think a 16 core 32 thread CPU would do you nicely.

I am waiting to see what the 4XXX series brings as I think they will be really good if AMD keep up the performance increases.

I have been following the AMD CPUs in the bench threads and they just keep getting better, sadly intel have stood still and are looking very tired at the moment.

Really good looking graphics card.

It's a little bit louder than the Red Dragon. There was a 25-30c difference between the GPU and Junction temperatures. I took the GPU apart and the thermal paste was pretty dry.

Cleaned it up and used Liquid Metal on the GPU and the heatsink and it's lowered the junction temperature 5-10c and now the temp difference between GPU and Junction is 15c exactly. Happy with that!

Finished my loop including the 5700 XT a few weeks ago but been busy with my work slowly returning to normal. My happiness is overshadowed by the 3070 launch tho.

Very nice build.

All white PCI-E blanking plates would work better, other than that fantastic work.
