The resale value has probably gone up a bit since the 20XX series launch as people were expecting too much from Turing.

The Titan V is not really a gaming card but a very powerful compute card and even at the price NVidia sell them (£2800) they are a bargain for professional work.

To get DLSS to run you need to select 2160p resolution and turn DLSS on in the custom settings.

They are not the maximum settings but they are what the bench uses on the Highest quality level.

The reason I used them is so I could compare the results to the cards in the normal bench thread that don't use DLSS.

@2160p the Titan V is the fastest card using normal settings and I wanted to know how much quicker a 2080 Ti would be using DLSS.

Latest NVidia drivers are really bad 416.94

Tried running my 2080 Ti cards on SOTTR and system freezes up.

Also tried 416.94 on another PC with Pascal Titans and same result.

Could also be a combination of latest Windows update + drivers.

Further update.

Game won't run on a single 2080 Ti.

I will be doing a full Windows re install on that PC and see if that fixes it.

My current install of W10 is 2yrs old and runs as fast and stable today as it did in 2016.

It is also probably full of old plugins, downloads, Microsoft rubbish, registry errors and maybe a virus or two.

With the small amount of time needed to do a full reinstall it good practice now more than ever.

2080 Ti cards are just as reliable as other NVidia cards with a low failure return %.

Most of the failures did seem to come from the initial FE cards and cards using the reference PCB.

Gamers Nexus did do some work on cards that failed and found there was no single fault linking them, the causes were varied just like you would expect with any other card.

So to answer the question 2080 Ti cards do fail but is about 2% to 3% that are faulty.

Like all PC components you pay your money and take your chance and most of the time things work as they should.

Wow what . Why I got rid of SLI a few years ago just not worth it anymore.

I hope they fix that as you’d expect both cards to work together with RTX cores just like SLI does normally. If it doesn’t then RTX is even worse than expected.

RTX with super SLI bridge. But RTX itself doesn’t scale in SLI. Nvidia...

I have not see anything yet to test RTX in mGPU.
