My single-core Celeron 420 isn't really worth folding on (even at 3.1ghz). I'm going to wait for a Q9450 before going back to quad-core (sold my Q6600 at the right time as one just went for £90 in MM!).

Oi, 'million, where's me stomp? I stomped Babyface_UK on the 19th

That omission aside, a better week for me. Finally got the farm upgrade done and all rigs running now. Got some Freezer 7s arriving today as a couple of the rigs are heat restricted with the Intel stock coolers but apart from that, I'm cruising now.

Quote of the week for me - quality standard WU x 200pc's for the win

My standard WU farm has done me proud this week too - 40K is my best week every and the team is doing quater of a million a day! with 100 members crunching 1000+ this week \o/

I'll be rebuilding my rig this and next weekend (see case central for project log) so output will be down alittle. Aiming to offset the 10c rise due to the new graphic card.

Best ever week from me - that was 7 days 24/7 solid crunching with the SMP affinity changer running also. 3rd in single crunchers league (claiming 3rd on the grounds of alphabetical name order!!)

Tempted to get another quad as i have a P965 board, case, gfx card and ram lying around, cheap psu and 2nd hand H/drive and i could hide it in the loft!! Missus would freak!

Perhaps we need some clarification.

Does the number of stomps refer to individuals overtaken or to the number of places gained in a week?

A stomp, in my understanding, is usually defined as the overtaking of an individual and not necessarily gaining a higher position within the team.

If the latter, perhaps the section should be renamed.

Your definition of stomp is correct stan.
But that not easy to generate a true stomp list from a stats take-off.
So therefore the news only looks at team position from one week to another.

So I guess the news title should change - but then your current stomp and been stomped issue, is not a common occurrence (happen to me once last year)

Yup indeed - all I can do is to compare this week's positions with last week's and post a list of who's now higher up than they were last week and by how much.
Maybe I should call it "This week's top climbers", I'm open to suggestions on a name but if you think I'm sitting here each hour keeping a tally of who's stomped who each update....
