Darn it!

I might have done it if on Sunday I actually fitted my new cooler and upped my OC. But I couldn't be arsed as the new cooler needs a backplate fitting. That requires me removing the mobo. **** that

Will leave it until this Sunday and see if I can be mithered.

What problems were you having?

Sirius told me today he almost lost all of his website stuff due to a misplaced command - he probably want us all to "install" it as a backup on our drives just in case he goes postal with his rm again.

VMware locked up on one instance when running two clients, PC reboots within minutes when running four clients. Temps are 61/62c from intel's TAT. Mild OC to 2.7 Ghz, fsb at 300.
4Gb ram with 1.5Gb per VM
No problems with the two clients, no EUE's or crashes. Runs 24x7 happily

Ah I remember you mentioning that before.

Normally I backup everything and often. I did have an older backup, but it was at least a fortnight old, so a lot of work would have been lost. Sheer luck I inadvertently copied over the whole folder to my laptop earlier today.

I have already made a backup and have set up a cron job to backup that particular folder twice a day.

I'm no angel either I need to sort out my backup routine.

On topic, unlucky Sirius - pipped to the post. Lets see if you can do it for next week.

Top Stompers is the people who have moved up the ranks the most places in the last week.
Tiffy-Kat's are just a silly name for "certificates", as in Sir Tiffy-Kat - we kinda borrowed that from the old Seti crunchers along with pilfering the team news idea and much of the format

Well more than I thought I'd get this week, what with the home rig not on for 2 days (thought I killed my graphic card - overtightening the waterblock and had no access to another pci-e card over weekend, when actually it was a dieing mobo battery causing bios problems ) I've also been on standard WU's for another 3 when testing. So it the office farm that done almost all the work

Out of a foolish desire for compertition (Mr B will agree) , I'll be seti'ing for two weeks so my out put should remain around this level - but don't fear, the quiet storm will be folding 24/7 soon for a significant boost.
