A great big warm welcome to the team!

If you haven't done so already then why not check out the Folding@Home Setup Guide and the Quickie Guide for more foldy-tastic tips especially for when you're in a rush

Well another week of increased production, every week you think it can't get any higher we're pleasantly surprised. Not the all-green we had last week but that's pretty much to be expected the week after a huge boost in production - the PS3 teams seemed to just get back what we'd taken from them last week so no real biggie there.
Way to go everyone for another great week - keep up the good work
Sorry anyone who's not been mentioned - you know what to do now :)

Yeeeee-Haaar - Team 10 are one a roll :D

Happy with my 15th & beating cob for the first time in since deepthought came online :D (took some serious farm upgrades to do it mind)

but OMG the top 5 are all mental - if the v6 client boosts production even 10% whitestar will me nudgeing the 100k mark

Now if he could just upgrade all his 400+ pc's this weekend.....;)

Great work people, and welcome all you new fokes

good stuff - down a bit on production for me this week when a reinstalled windows decided to not recognise any of my PCI slots and also not recognise my wireless adapter card!!! Cost me about 48 hours production time!

Anyway - fold on team 10 - great production!!

Considering a Quad system as a 2-week-old-birthday present for my new son! What u think???:D:D:D

Out of the top 10 in production due to funky water rebuilds and pushing overclocks too high. But its all settled down again now so can start pumping out the WU's once more. Don't like to see Zerker spanking me on a daily basis I tell ya!

On the good side I got one a 400K Tiffe, and I *cough* accidently bought a X3210 yesterday and a Q6600 G0 today (just hoping the X3210 is a G0 too but I bet its not :p

They will replace my 4800+ in a new build for my desktop machine, and the G0 will replace the G3 just for fun.

Thanks for the news again Rich. Great to see team production up again this week. Well done all.:)

Well, after slowly catching him for a few weeks now I couldn't let that SiriusB fella disappear into the sunset with his shiny new quad, so I had to get one myself.:p

Currently running at 3.5Ghz (so far) and crunching 3 x 2653 WUs in 2 virtual machines = 4300 ppd :D

Well done team 10 !!

As Uncle Rich would say .... "if your not mentioned, ya know what to do" - Put some fire in your wire and Get on the fold !!!!

All joking aside, Team 10 has done an outstanding job and each & everyone one of us should be proud of the accomplishments we're making !!!

And before anyone asks, yes, I've dipped into the Bordeaux Reserves (yet again), but hey, one has to celebrate one's victorys do we not !!

Running 2 clients with the crap WUs gets me around 2.1K PPD [shocking]

Just added a third, will find out in about half an hour or so if my PPD has gone up or down.

I have also upgraded all my clients to V6 - really easy to do even if you have used finstall to install your previous client.

Seems to be the way to do it - avoid those nasty quad-only WUs by showing only 2 cores to each VMWare instance ;) :D

Would someone be able to explain this to me, I have just upgraded to a quad and got it running at 3.6ghz stable :) However I just set it up like the guide that the top of the folding forum told me, just like my dual core but with 4 clients instead of 2. Is this correct or can I get more points with a different set up that I dont know about?

LinuxSMP, WinSMP or the standard Windows client?

With the SMP clients you can run four to max out the quad-core. I'm not sure about the standard client as I haven't run it on my Q6600.

While that would be nice, i'm gonna leave off upgrading the work machines to v6 as its only just become public.

I'll be upgrading the home machines and the machines in the office though.
