Other news, I have been a busy little bee and have created something you may find useful...

The code behind the page isn't finished, as such I have disabled all the links. Nowt works so don't try! The information at the bottom of the page is also incorrect in regards to downloading statistics. This was written before I had started the script properly so you can ignore that too.

I am showing you all this page now, as once it is finished only myself and rich99 will have access to it. This is to prevent the data getting screwed up. If you haven't worked it out just yet, the page is designed to make rich's job much, much easier in regards to the news. As I understand it he spends rather a long time copying and pasting which must take bloody ages! The page I have created will, when finished, download stats, parse them, store them and then give various options on generating lists of statistics - in BBCode too! So all rich has to do is click a few buttons and voila, the news [or parts of it] will be created right there and then.

The page was very much a learning exercise for me as I had to learn some new PHP code and techniques. I have also been learning some new CSS - which is why the page is rather pretty

Hopefully I will have the full version running tomorrow [I did have a fully functioning version earlier but decided to change something]. It is entirely up to you rich if you want to use it. I wont be offended if you don't [well, not much anyway ] as it was as much for me as you. The script also serves as a basis for an openly accessible Team 10 stats page. I am not planning on competing with EOC but thought it might be nice to have our own stats page displaying the kind of things we need/want.

I hope I am not stepping on your toes rich. I just thought I might as well make something more useful than "Hello World" while learning new stuff!

The only thing I have not been able to re-create with code is working out the stomps based on two sets of data. The only way I could [easily] do it is to download the stats maybe twice [or more times] a day and keep a running total. Will give it some consideration.

Coo, fourth in the weekly production with 71k. I wish I could keep that up, if only to keep ms9cw out of my cell, but it'll all come almost to a halt on Tuesday when I shut my home PCs down for a week.

Silly statistic: I've now crunched so many 2653s that that one WU accounts for almost 22% of my total production.

Thanks for the news, Rich! My flat is rather cold at the moment as I'm resisting the desire for heat, because I can't afford to run the heating and the folders at the same time. At least my small bedroom is being kept warm by the folding computers & PS3s!

Bah, my poor little dual cored cruncher is going flat out, and yet still got beat by another one. If only I knew how to overclock in a stable sort of way, but given that I'm on air cooling, maybe I should just be happy with the mild tweak.

However - QUAD POWER IS COMING!!!!! got a quad on route over the next week or so - hopefully should be pushing the output up to 20k a week or so.

Absolutely no need to purchase it as the E6600 does everything i need of it but hey - what the hell - it's only crunching!!!!

I'm running two on my quad w. 2Gb RAM. Those that use Linux and get the insane ppds have two per VM (so 4 in total), so you might be able to have more if you wanted.
