woot - 12th highest producer this week and just broke the 9K barrier

for those after better work I took -advmethods off all machines and although some got 600 pointers initially all but one are now back on those horrid almost 400 pointers getting lousy PPD

No idea why i didnt even get close to 1k this time. Must have had loads of the amber 153pt WU . Got a 600 ptr about to dump (6 min), but hopefully i`ll get some more of those!!

I'm still using beta option and getting them. I reckon I might resign if this doesn't stop soon.

At least the SMP WUs are taking up a little of the slack (though not much).

nothing seems to stop these horrid WUs, no matter what kind of work you ask for there seems to be a 95% chance of ending up with total pap

taking off -advmethods definately improved the chances of getting a 600 pointer or Amber (not good news if you have any Intel rigs) but sooner or later most rigs have ended back up on the horrid stuff again

I'm more than a little tempted to sell off my slowest rig and some spare parts to fund an AGP 1950 PRO, still waiting to see some hard evidence first though

edit: It'd also help if the cards were in stock and were a lot further away from the £200 mark that they are set at currently

I'm still blessing VJ for releasing SMP beta for the Mactel platform - given me a hallowed place in top 10 dumpers for first time ever!
Other (very slow and very old) platforms are taking 21 days to complete a single one of these duff WUs - perhaps there's a recalibration going on somewhere.

Well there's no proving it either way, I can account for 6 clients as Conc runs 2 CPU and 1 GPU client and knowing how much he likes to fiddle he's no doubt reinstalled windows at some point over the last 7 days - it's the other 2 clients I'm concerned about

2 . Unforgiven - 5,250 with 3 active clients

Mac - Processor 1: 2133 @ 90%, log goes back to the 17th where its at 66%.
Mac - Processor 2: 2124 @ 22%, log goes back to the 21st where its at 4%.

3 clients before windows install
2 new CPU clients after reinstall

3 from messing around with my failing GPU, 5.81, 5.06 and a beta client...

Thanks for the news Ricky. Awesome productions one and all. The Mac clients seem to be going down a treat, and the GPUs too. They've nerfed CPU folding at the moment though, with all these horendous wus. I can't really complain; I've got two 600 pointers and a tasty 99 pointer atm But it's bad for the team overall (apparently ).

I managed almost 1300PPD on average over the last 7 days, 700PPD being due to my GPU, a further 270PPD from the stream of 600 pointers on the other half of my [email protected] - that leaves just over 300PPD from 3 Socket-A systems on 24/7 and a couple of other part-timers
If it wasn't for most of the other machines actually having a valid reason to be on I would be tempted to turn them o**, though these horrid WUs are just as important to the science as any other so I guess I'll just carry on regardless

Yup you pointed that out in the single machine thread also - I wouldn't worry about seeing 3 active clients but I think that's got to be the allowable maximum to qualify for the time-being
If people start going crazy with quad-core/dual GPU I'm not sure what use that would be for the news post anyway - most likely just alienate those with more typical setups
