Thanks, had a quick read.Open HWINFO without selecting checkboxes.

After I had to RMA my 7900XTX MBA, I was going to go for the Powercolor Hellhound as the next smallest, least expensive, with only 2 8-pin connectors, but the recent Nitro+ price reduction made it look relatively better, so I got one of those.
Today I did the same test I did on the previous card where it throttled when vertical - playing Quake 2 RTX for a few minutes. I'm pleased to report that the cooler works fine, with only a few degrees difference between the two orientations, as you would hope.
Vertical (monitor ports up):
Horizontal (fans up):
The fans are pretty quiet for such a high-power card. Acceptable even with headphones off. Coil whine is much quieter than the fans normally, and so is not a problem. It's horrendously whiny in those games where the framerate is in the thousands in menus though. What's it like fan and coil wise?
Ive read in many places that it doesn't really mean anything. Does it really influence in OC for example?my red devil 7900 xtx ASIC quality is 45.5%
Mine is 48.9% but seems like it doesn't matter that much...my red devil 7900 xtx ASIC quality is 45.5%
Why are we still looking this up? ASIC value has no impact on performance, ability to OC or undervolt. It's like using the last four letters of your name to determine how well you play football.my red devil 7900 xtx ASIC quality is 45.5%
Oh no, I thought I still had time to become a proWhy are we still looking this up? ASIC value has no impact on performance, ability to OC or undervolt. It's like using the last four letters of your name to determine how well you play football.

Yeah Ive seen that most people are sitting in the mid 40s. Out of curiosity I checked on my 6900XT and it says 87.3% but as Harmattan said above, I've read it doesn't really represent how well the card can OC/UV.i finally figured out how to check that was all, most of the new 7000 series sit around mid 40%, like you i dont know what it means overall, i know of old cards asci determined if you had a good card under water or air cooling conditions, @LtMatt earlier in this thread was looking to know other peoples asci of there nitro+ cards
You're just jealous that mine is bigger than yours, at 50.7%.Why are we still looking this up? ASIC value has no impact on performance, ability to OC or undervolt. It's like using the last four letters of your name to determine how well you play football.
