Hi all, currently I'm using the Powercolor 7900xt hellhound.

However I tried to narrow down the issue by running my PC with no oc, no xmp on, no GPU tweaking other than fan. However it is just for Horizon Zero Dawn. I have been crashing to desktop randomly. Not sure what went wrong. Anyone encounter it?

Just for the record, CTD isn't necessarily a hardware problem, especially if it only happens with one game.

When I first started playing it did this a lot. It’s just a badly programmed game. Turn off all your overlays. Disable MPO.

Yea let me echo this, this game can be random. I sometimes crash on the intro screen even with everything stock. It is also very sensitive to overclocks.

How are your temps?

They are fine. On 4k, I'm getting around anywhere between 62-66degC. Hotspot are around delta 16-20degC.

Since this card features a reference 7900XTX pcb, decided to water cool it.

Does anyone know the TBP/TDP of the Aorus Elite card? On paper it looks like a decent model.

I'm not planning on picking up a card (yet, managed to control my itch!) but I'm curious. The TPU database just lists the default 355W.

Anyone with a pulse? how is it?? im a bit restricted to certain cards due to case limitations. I think the nitro will just fit(width) as it looks like the power connectors are recessed. Max width i can go is 145mm inclusive of power connectors. I may or may not watercool at some point so a potential block is a must to enable that choice.

Thanks, is that the highest for XTX's? It seems a good product, 4 year warranty beats any other manufacturer for AMD warranty too.

Yes that is the same as the Nitro, Merc, and some of the Asrock models.

It depends; some games have poor implementations of some APIs. I would expect Vulkan to be the best choice generally though.

You need to register within 30 days of purchase to claim the 1-year extended warranty but it is very easy to do.

The card is fine, I can get good temp out of the card even with quiet bios (changed case fans help a lot). However, the Gigabyte control center is bad but need to use it to change RGB settings.

Ah yes, I have a Gigabyte motherboard so am very familiar with the control centre, and it really isn't great!

Having to register for the extra warranty is an irritation but it's quite common now and at least it's an option.

The red devil just made forget about blocking it. Dead Silent and first OC attempt got me around 2950mhz on core.

Basically gaming on a 5800x3D and this card made me put my old rads in the storage.

Since the unreal engine 5 will be used in many big AAA games very soon and Ezbench has just been updated to the 5.1.1 version of Unreal Engine I would like to know how the performance of AMD cards is compared to Nvidia cards in this particular bench.
Does someone have both an RTX 4000 and RX 7000 card to compare ?
Ezbench is available for free on Steam.

Also, new driver 23.2.1 installed, no issue so far.

Also the bench looks really cool, it's using all UE 5.1 features, 8K textures, insanely high poly count...

So I tried to OC a bit, Gave it PL 15% and some core tuning and about 5% off the voltage.

Tried it in a couple of games and seems stable... any specific games that can stress an OC on the 7900xtx (Red Devil)?
