I know how how the strix fans work. I've a 980 strix at the moment. I meant it's important for me to have that tech, and the trio has it, so all good.

Well, tonight I can join the illustrious club of owners who have had more than one 2080Ti FE die on them.

Technically it's not quite dead yet, but it's getting there. The space invaders have returned to wreak havoc on my gaming

Rma should be pretty quick if they have any in stock that is, at this point they probably have a few skiploads of failed cards. =/

I'm going for a refund this time round. It took ages for them to RMA the last card, and eats into my remaining warranty period. Better to get a refund and buy a fresh card with a fresh warranty IMO.

Sucks, yeah a refund is the best way to go. Get an AIB version. There seems to be loads of stock everywhere so you should have a card in for Christmas.

After my Gainward RTX 2080Ti Phoenix Golden Sample died I have thought about trying out another one, a MSI RTX 2080Ti Duke OC... but the continuous user feedback about dying cards do worry me.

I was reading that you can use dsr to have dlss working at 1440p. Have dlss render at 4k and dsr to downsample to 1440p

Don't know what to think of DLSS at the moment.

It definitely makes all the jaggies go away in FFXV, and runs better, but there is some weird blurry, 'dreamy' quality to the image and I'm not sure that I like it.

Its being upsampled then downsampled, I don't think that's helping.

It would be nice if Asus could get some of the regular Strix cards on the shelves before wasting time and resources on novelty versions.
