I do but unfortunately still need it in case of warranty perhaps you can find one on eBay or similar as it would fit without any issue.

Although having seen your rig photo I’m surprised you haven’t just fitted a waterblock in its place.

Well worth it trust me

Think mine runs at about 45c full load with full overclock after some hours. You have enough cooling (just), and you have most of the gfx heat going through the top rad anyway so it would make sense to add the card into the loop

.

Plus EVGA allow cooler removal so nothing to worry about there.

Very true, also the card outperforms my friends a chip xc ultra easily, with a much lower power limit and smaller cooler so it's kind worth it

Just about to buy one of these beautys, Could i get some feedback please? I have four options from cheapest to the highest i will go. And i require at minimum 4-5 years of warranty cover for my £1100 so i have few options and my limit really should be £1100 as well because the EVGA warranty would addon £18. Anyways from low to high which would overclock best? I want to avoid flashing and a reference pcb and i also think the XC card is out of my budget but i added it anyways incase it would be a big leap over the others.

ZOTAC 2080TI AMP
GIGABYTE 2080TI GAMING OC
EVGA 2080TI GAMING XC

If cooling/noise isn’t an issue, whichever one has the highest wattage BIOS for sheer performance.

Think they mostly OC the same if limited by wattage.

And aren’t all of those in your list reference PCB’s anyway?

This is tricky. You could go for one with an A chip
That being all but the black edition.
My friend has a xc black however which is an A chip and my standard black annihilates it.
So my next suggestion would be get the one with the biggest cooler.
Also make sure it has Samsung ram, as my friends hynix clocks to 800+
And mine 1450+on the ram

This is also a consideration, go to techpowerup and check each cards watt range and power limit

My “old” Zotac has Micron that does +1100.

And yes, I’m glad it has a 5 year warranty.

I was looking techpowerup and all the comments are about the zotac sleeve bearing fans breaking and adding a 28day rma to it. That is exactly what happened to my 1080!!!

But how do i find out the power limits of them all? I would be running thr fans at 100% noise is totally a non issue i enjoy air whooshing over the ambience of traffic etc i find it really relaxing.

Found them 300w for both the Gaming OC and AMP max and the amp has a higher default power limit. The AMP is also cheaper than the GamingOC with 1yr extra warranty too so i have to think hard about EVGA black or the AMP i think really as the AMP price is within 40 bucks it provably makes sense i try to get the 2080ti AMP.

The amp is a good bet if it's that close on price, the black is supposed to be £900 idk why its ended up these silly prices
