A couple of problems with the work borgs this week cost me around 8k pts

Should all be fixed now so back to full production.

Disappointing week for me, i had a couple of network issues that meant at least 50+% complete units were aborted... Electric bill dropped thru letterbox yesterday which nearly caused a major reduction in output, but ive volunteered to pay it all rather than just half of it... which has kept things ticking along nicely.

Keep 'em crunching

Bit of a crap week. Lost about a day and a half Folding due to Virgin Media being crap and fudging the changeover of my broadband service

Also had a few problems with the OC on the main/gaming rig. Finally managed to get it stable (I think) at 3.52GHz (440x8). I had to hold the memory back because it's rubbish. It's 1000MHz RAM but it won't run stable at 1057MHz - that's just pants. I'm having to run it 1:1 at 880MHz and it appears to be stable. Doesn't seem to have affected performance much. When I had it at 1057MHz it was Prime (blend) stable for about 8 hours, within 3 hours of Folding it died (BSOD). Frame times are almost identical for both speeds - looks like RAM speed doesn't make much difference for Folding. It's been folding happily for about 16 hours now with the memory turned down.

Anyway. As usual, I was just too late with this for the news but here's the latest one:

With all these people having bad weeks and us only being 12k points down. I think next week will be a good one.

I just bought an E4600 and some Ballistix, a dual core of my own for the first time!

It's 2x1GB Team Extreem PC2 8000. I've seen reveiws where guys have had this to 1200MHz (with slack timings) but I can't seem to get it stable much above stock.

Had the same problem with my pc6400 OCZ (ran at 950 on my abit, but will not even do 750 on the gigabyte) - but some new Geil just arrived in the post for this weekends install.

Forgot to mention. I got the E6300 back up and running. Had to cut the OC back to 2.8GHz and it's got one of those P3062s so it's only getting a little over 1000 PPD but it's better than nothing
