Nice Mark, would be interested to hear how well that H150 cools the Ryzen!

Just flashed my 2080 Ti FE with an EVGA XC Ultra bios, It uses the same exact die i.e 1E07 and A1 stepping.

Now I have actual control of my fans, 0-100% instead of 40-100% :D Sadly still have no control over the disabled RGB like some others have managed to get working.

Is it worth upgrading to a Ti from a 2070 super for 1440p gaming?

All games run fine on my current rig, but RDR2 still cannot be maxed out at 1440p on it. Is it worth upgrading for one game, or am I better off pugging the money away until the next big release from Nvidia. I could get £400+ back from my super, so that brings the cost down to about £600.

Isn’t the ti around 20 to 30 percent faster then a 2070 super.

is spending £600 more worth it for you for that 20 to 30 percent extra. The answer depends on what games you play and what you can afford.

I have a 2070 super and I just turn down the details down for 4K. ( yes I have a 2080 ti as well )

I've always discounted the FE card due to the lack of zero fan mode when idling. I presume this feature can now be used. I think the FE is one of the most attractive cards and is fairly competitively priced.

I love mine, although it is an expensive card. Any benchmarks required then let me know.

A lot of comparison videos don’t show the true capabilities due to pairing with a cpu that’s not quite capable at the lower resolutions (1080p/1440p).

Even with a memory and core OC another 10% can be gained on a 2080Ti if not more.

Considering the 1080Ti is still performance wise between 2080 and 2080S.

It depends on the game. In the new call of duty for example 5700xt and 2080 are way quicker then a 1080 ti especially the farther up the resolution you go
https://www.techpowerup.com/review/...re-benchmark-test-performance-analysis/5.html

That was just a comparison in rdr2 where the 1080Ti performs somewhere between 2080 and 2080S levels as I couldn’t find a truthful 2070S vs 2080Ti comparison video.

That doesn’t mean it will be the same in every game which I expect it not to be. But for the most part I don't trust the majority of review sites as they are usually incorrect.

Bought a Radeon Vii when I first came out, regretting it a bit now.

Been upgrading my PC throughout the year just need a CPU now.

If I'd have just bought everything now I would have got a 2080TI.

Do people think its worth trying to sell my Radeon Vii and geta 2080Ti or wait for a 3080Ti that are supposed to be cheaper when released?

no worries was just making sure people reading this knew that. Seen people on forums bragging they got a used 1080 ti for more then a new 2070 super when some of the newer games the 1080ti is falling more and more behind

Never play the waiting game, you may as well wait for personal quantum computers and holodecks.

I really am contemplating getting a second one for SLI, anyone with SLI confirm if the majority of games work smoothly? Or is the SLI stutter still a thing?
There is new sli technique that has been thrown around lately, checker board frame rendering, that works extremely well in red dead 2,I think when it's properly released it will be worth while having sli again.
Check out some you tube videos on it, there's a particularly impressive 8k red dead one and some of the usual tech channels review it also
