Yes.My MSi Wave Vega 64 LC was pulling 380w last night on RE2.
1st time I’ve seen it go up that high.
Is that normal?.
Can anyone with the Vega 64 nitro+ give me any insight on its 1440p performance @ stock values?
I'm between the vega 64 and 5700XT I feel like with the AiB coolers the 5700XT is looking to expensive £440 minimum that's like £140 over the Vega 64
Hello, I have a Red Devil V64 with a alphacool M07 block , I have unmolded die . Cant seem to get the hotspot down my diference is like 40c from edge temp. So 40c wil lhave hotspot at 80c and it goes all the way to 60c edge temp and hot spot hits 105c.
My cand cant pass 1650mhz and this is with 340w or more. I can put 150powertarget on it and it wont make a diference.
If the card stays on clocks over 1650mhz for some time it will crash.
I have as P7 1735mhz and 1165mv 35% powertarget (more it will crash the driver) and 1180mhz on the HBM2, I can run benqs at 1200mhz no problem.
My Psu is a 750w termaltake gold Im useing both the 8 pin cables, did ty with a 1000w gold psu and issue was the same.
I think I got a crap die on my card.
Did try LC bios but i get stuter and downclocks
oh thanks. If you can send me the info. That's exactly my issue too. I've spoken to Alphacool about it- it seems the best way to fix it is to reseat the block, even paste spread, then tighten gradually from the 'top' first (the opposite long edge to the PCI connector) and hope you get lucky. One guy sorted it, hotspot came down from highs of 105 to around 80.
It is possible, but there's a bit of luck involved. I'll try to link the article I was sent by Alphacool- problem is it's in German. I translated it a paragraph at a time with Google...
Having another go at mine next week. It plays No Man's Sky happily enough for now- fortunately it doesn't rag the GPU too hard!
No, I'm gaming at full hd as I want to reach a higher number of fps. Unfortunately, even with those settings I'm experimenting black screen during games, but not benchmarks. I will try to use stock values, but it's a pity.
Hello all, I'm a fresh owner of Vega64 Nitro+ Sapphire, upgraded from a rx 580 8gb due to having a 144hz monitor. I had to choose between this vega at 300 euros or 5700 xt 470 euros. I started OC&UV, however, it's pretty strange, when I test in benchmarks everything is stable that I try, however booting and playing a game like Destiny 2 for 1 hour will result in a black screen and wattman will be reseted.
However, having a r5 1600 3.8Ghz, I think it's bottlenecking my gpu because the usage in most games never reaches 99%; looking on youtube with similar build, but with a r5 3600, seems there is no bottleneck there.
Currently I only UV my gpu, p6 1537Mhz/1090Mv p7 1632Mhz/1100MV HBM 1100Mhz/1100Mv, PL 50%+, and I have 25k in FireStrike, I saw that 5700 xt has 27k, so I guess It's good.
I have a seasonic 620 modular, hope it is good. Can someone confirm that r5 1600 can bottleneck?
