Whoops a little later than planned, knew I'd done something wrong when everyone was showing up with double the points they got last week


Got my bottom kicked by EUE's this week as well as losing some time to a power cut - couldn't even manage the top 20

Did better than expected, top of the dual core single crunchers too. Might get my backside tanned next week though as these new SMP WUs seem to be a bit of a <beeeep>.

welcome to the new members and cheers for the news as always.

Shocking run of 3065's at the moment and they take nearly 30hrs to crunch so my figures are down about 5k this week - getting loads of them!

I've been slacking

New setup on the way though to bring the results back up to speed

didnt do much cruncing this week and im getting bombarded with the 3065 and 3060 WUs, they hurt

Thanks for the new rich, you were not the only one burning the midnight oil - as my system is finally back under water and 24/7 cruching will resume in the next few days - have some testing / tweaking to do first.

AND TURN OFF -AVD you lot, that way your smp client will not download these lower ppd wu's.

Personally - I've set the office to accept them - as the office farm is all about the science, the home rig on the other hand is another matter

stats wise been a good week for me - tiffy, stomp, and top 20 - [Hannibal] I love it when a plan comes together[/Hannibal]

after checking the machine a couple of days after i started all good with 2 WU done but been having problems with this last unit as it is taking for ever

These new SMP WUs don't make that much difference to my ppd. It's only dropping by 200-300 which I can live with. Maybe it's the same for everyone but you're all more points sensitive than me?

Thanks shadow Only just got it though. Due to diskless screwing up I lost about a day's worth of folding, I've switched to ubuntu now and it all seems fine Going to see what I can do about increasing the clock/tightening my RAM timings this weekend as I have to install a new hard drive anyway.

Has anyone upgraded to Hardy Heron yet? I like the way that its easy to update for the server version, I'll try that this weekend as well, I don't forsee many changes though.

Things do seem to be looking up, the new people are improving our PPD, welcome to you all

how do i do that again in winsmp ??- fed up with my ppd down at around 2.5k when it was nearing 4k

anyone know if winSMP is stable now on vista? any advice when installing it there?

Stop service/client
Make a shortcut to Fah.exe
Right click the shortcut and select properties
Add -configonly to the end of the target (first white box on shortcut tab)
Click Apply, then OK
double click shortcut
say yes to change advanced options (7th question)
say no to set -advnethods flag alway
finish answering the questions and it will exit automatically.

Restart service/client - you next unit should be much better

As above if using the batch file.
