A small note, that I've switched OSes, so I may appear to be using two cores, but its still only the one, and going to clear up in a week, but yeah. Thought I should mention it :)
 
Thanks as always for the new and welcome to the new members!

Had real issues this week with my wireless network - got the feeling my wee 8 month old lad as broken my router!! Signal has been rock solid for months but since he got hold of it earlier in the week and yanked it to the floor, the signal has been none existant!!!

Every time i loose signal, my 2 cores stop working!! Anyway an excuse to upgrade my wireless "g" to a wireless "n" network - just don't tell the missus!!

Also the Q9450's @ just over £200 are looking nice! So are the P45 boards on preorder!

Bloody upgrade-itous!
 
Thanks for the news rich - if it wasn't of that cheaky fellow (two posts) above I would be all smiles today, with a stomp, a tiffy, and nearly 40k this week. But a quick trip down stompieo lane is always good for the ego :p

Keep up the good work people and welcome all you new and returning folders.

And get your self some cat5 booyaka - little ones and wireless 'chewable' arial don't mix unless they are well out of reach.

All my cabling is under the carpet / skirting boards, and the pc is now wall hung - never underestimate the attraction of a little green/blue/red led especially if it flashes to a toddler :D

Nice age 8 months - hope he/she sleeping through, and you and the misses are enjoying your upside down lives, it gets better, worse and more fun when they start moving :D

Bit of a pants week for me. Dunno why but I've had WUs crashing (one EUE was at 98%, how unfair) or stalling. Maybe it was the weather. :(
 
Cheers for the news.

In the future they should incorporate LAN cabling into the internal wiring of the house. It would be so much more robust having network ports on the wall next to plug sockets. Then everything could plug into the network, PCs, TVs, SKY boxes, DVD players, PlayStations... everything upgrading itself on the fly. I could ping the oven to tell me if I've left it on or not. :D

I don't know why I felt the need to comment on that. :p

When he starts moving?? - been crawling for about 8 weeks already cause no end of chaos already!!!:D:D

Not too bad a week for me - considering the crap WUs I've been getting. These P2665s are a nuisance, PPD-wise. I've been getting a few random EUEs too. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to them - different machines, different WUs. I've tried cutting back the OCs, to no avail and they have been happening at night sometimes too, so temperature can't be blamed. The only common factor is that they started after I installed Vista SP1 :confused:

I've been doing a bit of tinkering lately which has disrupted things a bit but I'm about finished tinkering for now so, hopefully, things can get back to normal and I can leave things alone for a week or so before I go away again to make sure everything is stable.

Big drop in output from the big two at the top which probably accounts for a lot of the drop in team output - hopefully, they can get back up to full production again :)

My server is crunching a 2665 very very slowly. Getting 500ppd, its seriously craptacular. I was getting 1300ppd from this rig last week :(
 
Does that mean I'm safe for a while Philly? :p

Been a good week for me, only just got back from holiday and I'm amazed I was only one WU ahead of Emily :/ Oh well, not much I can do about it :)

Have you checked to if the Diskless is writing the work to the USB drive?
 
Wondered why my PPD had dropped a little, then I walked past the iMac and noticed I couldn't hear the fans whirring. I'd forgotten about the powercut. Now the client is being a pain and I really can't be bothered at the moment. Yeggstry is 5 months away so I've got time to repair that cylinder. :p
