I'm pretty surprised about the drop in production. I can only think people have taken their machines offline to install multiple GPUs. :p

It's only a very slight drop in production - it's just that almost everyone else seems to have had a massive boost :o

Tempted to get myself some GPU action but still got a slight sour taste from the ATi card that I now use for nothing after it seemingly stopped wanting to crunch anything :(
 
Not so much the drop in production rankings, but the slight drop in weekly output. I'm sure we'll keep the pace though. :)

The GPU battlefield is still wait n' see.
 
Well I have been trying out the FaH GPU client for my GeForce 8800GTS but today changed it for the Radeon HD 4870 but cannot get the GPU client to work on it properly.

Do I need to reinstall FaH or is there another version I should be using for ATi graphics cards?
 
Uninstall the GPU2 client and download the latest version from the folding@home offical site. Make sure your AMD drivers are up to date too. The client should automatically download the correct core for your card.

Be warned though you'll get much less ppd in comparison to the 8800.
 
Well it seems to be working as now says ATi Radeon in the visual box and shows a work unit being processor but when I minimize it it seems to stop running as maximising it it starts back at zero
 
popped back in to try the gpu folding, unfortunately the recommended folding drivers are absolutely useless in AoC, so rolled back to non cuda drivers
 
Yeah i'm missing my GPU which got about 15K points last week so that alone is a huge drop, my friend and my brother have been filling in though, so still got 11K points this week. At the end of this month i'll get my new card + my new laptop that'll be on 24/7.
 
Currently got 4 rigs running including the GPU client on my gaming rig (8800GTX OC2). Dunno if anyone else is noticing this but the frame times seem to fluctuate wildly. Most of the time it's running about 1m 30s or thereabouts but sometimes it slows right down to about 4m per frame. Sometimes it picks itself back up but sometimes it stays like that for a while. Restarting the client doesn't seem to help but rebooting the machine seems to bring it back up to speed again :confused:

Still planning on having 3 rigs Folding from now on but I'm not sure when I'll get it all sorted out. My computer room looks like a bomb has hit it at the moment as I've been and fetched the rest of my stuff from Peterhead - the suff I didn't have space for when I moved last year (I still don't have room for it but my boss is selling his house and I needed to move the stuff out of his shed). I currently have all of the old farm sitting in the already cramped room - 9 AMDs and a Pentium D805 + a couple of boxes of bits. I have no idea what I'm going to do with them all. I'll probably never get them sold so I might sanitise them and see if a local charity wants them.

Bit surprised by the drop in production, particularly now we're getting up to speed with the GPU client. Part of it is my fault, as I've been in Vienna all week and have crunched nothing since Sunday - just getting everything running again now. I'm sure there must be loads more people hanging around who have 8800s (or anything else) which could be dedicated to the cause?

H'onwards and h'upwards!
 
I'm wondering if I put a 8800GT in each Seti rig whether I can crunch FAH and S@H at the same time :)

How sad am I? :D
 
Thanks for the news, I'm currently down as I'm having errors recieving cores and now my internet is out for 3 weeks while we wait for sky to come in :(

Hence my embaressingly silly low score.
