A fair bit of red up top and one place lost this week to NCIX, great bit of work on their part with almost 3x our output but I think we gave them a pretty good fight for it.
Another slight loss this week made worse by everyone else doing a bit better - still churning out a massive amount of work as a team. That 256MB 8800 on this week only is working it's way towards my basket, if only to satisfy my curiosity of how it'll perform :p

Thanks Rich! Nice output from oceaness there as well.

In advance of the big shutdown on Monday, I've quit SMP - hence the drop in PPD. Prodding VMs all the time was getting a bit wearing. Hoping that by the time I get back, they'll actually have made a Windows SMP client that works properly :D

Sorry, chaps. Looks like I was this week's drop in production. We were away from 25th Spetember so everything had to be shut down for a full week. Back up to 4000 PPD now with a bit more to come.

Cheers for the news.

I'm going to be making a bit of a comeback soon, albeit as a mere shadow of my former self. The folding box (which now has an 8800GT btw) has been officially reclaimed as a "working" PC. This means it will be "not on" most of the time.

I will however be installing the GPU client on it, and also on the new 4850 downstairs. It may only generate a few thousand points per week but it's better than nowt. :)
 
Cheers Rich - unfortunately my uni timetable is awful this year, so wont be spending as much time at pc capable of folding, although 7th in the single machine list i not too bad! Planning on starting to use the full SMP client at weekends to try and boost output, and hopefully will be able to get my housemate folding over the weekend too - bring another graphics card to the fold!
 
Thanks for the news Mr Millions - I've been slacking & lurking on occasion.
Now got the parts for a long awaited upgrade which I'll start this weekend. Moving to Vista 64:eek: hopefully not too many headaches, Thanks for the heads up, I've got myself the PNY 8800GT:) which I'll try to get folding & then attempt to set up a VM with Linux or I might try the Win SMP client.

It couldn't be much easier - install the drivers - install the client (I went for the system tray one without viewer as service is said not to work in Vista and not sure the viewer works anyway) and you're done. After all the messing around with SMP clients recently I was shocked at how simple it was :p

Just follow the install instructions on Stanford's site and you can't really go wrong - linked from the download page :cool:
