That's a bit bizarre - last week I mentioned a 10% increase and that's exactly what you did :eek:

not fair i wanted to break into the top 20 this week espescially as my climb up the ranks will start to slow down a bit now as i start to catch up on the those with humungos amount of pionts

Meh... i usually do slightly better! But my vista x64 dvd came from ms so i had to get that up and running, basically lost about a day of folding :(

On the up tho, i hit 250000 :D Yey!

It's only that long till the next stomp as we are out-producing them by only a few thousand PPD - wouldn't take that much extra production to turns those years into months ;)

It's surprising what a humble graphics card can do: 2nd in the single crunchers:D 13th in overall production:eek: & a 400k tiffy I think I can call it a good week:) I feel a parp coming on.

No if only we can get some of the Rosetta defectors back.

I seem to be battling with verbal for numero uno, my m1730 should make quick work of that when my xp64 disk comes tomorrow. :D
 
thanks for the news rich kinda blown my PSU for laptop so thats out for a while but main pc should be up and running this weekend hoping :D

Nah, Rosetta needs help too you know, and Folding is by far the heaviest invested in project here.

Its not really worthwhile folding on anything but a gfx card now, and each one only needs a fraction of a core to keep it fed. What we should all plan is to get a 8800GS or GT and dedicate the rest of our PC to other worthwhile projects.

Thats what I reckon. Of course if you aren't inclined for one reason or another to want to do that, then thats fine too! :D :cool:
 
How effective would a 256MB fanless 3650 be for folding on? Just set up my new system and would be willing to give GPU folding a bash, seeing as I now have enough cores for S@H :D
 
I can't remember the exact figures but I tried my 3650 and gave up very quickly. I think it was less than 1000PPD, really not worth the loss of a core on a quad CPU (using XP). A fanless card would probably cook too.

My best week ever (just) - amazing what a small investment in a good GPU can do. This PC would be fighting Senture for the top of the single machine league if it was on its own, too. :D

Ah nice! I'm 28'th. I feel very proud of myself :)

I don't know why but I get a nice warm fuzzy feeling watching the little F@H Display on the gpu client :P
